Currently available: The first CD released is by trumpet great Maynard Ferguson, rare live/studio performances never before heard or released.... The Lost Tapes Vol 1, and thats exactly what they are, old reel to reel tapes found in a large trunk in Ernie Garsides house, amazing performances of Maynard at his peak that Ernie holds the rights to and had recorded many years ago!
In the first CD some of the highlights include, "Somewhere, Watermelon Man, The Italion Suite, El-Dopa, Eleanor Rigby" and original demos of "Fruit of the Loon" and "Dont Let the Sun Go Down on Me", Maynard and the band have never sounded this good, amazing performances!
We are working with Maynard's close friend / musician / promoter / manager Ernie Garside on this CD series which this will be part of a trilogy, Ernie will be Executive producer and Sean and Gary Gillies will be producers.
It's not just jazz we are involved with, we also are working with a new group Soundview Avenue and they are about to record their first album for the label in studios outside London.
"Soundview Avenue" have just gone through a re-birth; they used to be known as "Freefall".
This unsigned band featuring Colin Smith on lead Guitar, Dave Morrison on bass, Sean Gillies vocals, and Graeme Davison on drums/vocals. They write and perform all their own music, described as Rock/Pop.
Formed 5 years ago, their highlights so far have been the youngest band ever to be invited to play at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, which was covered by all the major newspapers, TV, radio and media, then a week later they were brought back down to play at the Empire Theatre also in Liverpool to play for over 3000 people!
They have also performed on BBC TV, The Saturday Show to an audience of over two million, been featured on Newsround, BBC News and Radio One, Radio Clyde etc., and soon the band will be featured on a number of major TV spots to promote something very special. They now face their biggest challenge a massive 4 month world tour for charity!
